The Wright Family Foundation is a private family foundation established in 1997 to provide funding in support of community, education, health, social needs, and the arts. Initial funding for the foundation was provided with a generous donation from SI Group, Inc. (formerly Schenectady International, Inc.).

Celebrating 100 years in business in 2006, SI Group is a global producer of alkylphenols, electronic chemicals, and phenolic resins. Our products are used to make automotive components, adhesives, plastics, photo-imaging products, paints and other specialty coatings. With more than 20 operations in 13 countries, we serve every major market around the globe. The company's United States locations are in Schenectady County, NY, Brazoria County, Texas, and Cocke County, Tennessee, therefore, the Foundation supports projects in these areas.

The Board of Trustees of the Wright Family Foundation consists mainly of descendants of the founder of SI Group, W. Howard Wright.
